West Georgia scored four touchdowns in the third quarter to overwhelm the Morehouse Tigers 42-0 at B.T. Harvey Stadium in Atlanta.

Last week, the Wolves scored 24 points in the first half on the way to defeating Carson Newman 38-7. Morehouse held the high-powered West Georgia offense to one drive greater than 37 yards in the first half.

Zion Custis capped off a 76-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run at the end of the first quarter. The junior running back from Lovejoy led all rushers with 88 yards on 10 carries.

The Maroon Tigers’ defense shut the gate on two Wolves’ drives in the red zone.

It was a totally different story in the third quarter. West Georgia, operating inside the Maroon Tigers’ territory, ignited the onslaught behind the big arm of Harrison Frost. Frost found Zay Britt for a 39-yard catch and run down the Wolves’ sideline. Jaxton Carson completed the drive with a 4-yard touchdown run.

After the offense added a 13-yard touchdown reception from Terrill Cole, the defense joined the action. Deontae Overstreet intercepted Khama Carlisle near midfield and returned it untouched into the end zone.

Wolves junior running back Rajaez Mosley added a 31-yard touchdown run inside the two-minute mark to put the game comfortably out of reach.
