Georgia Tech opened strong, using efficient hitting and steady defense to claim the first set 25–20. The second set was a nail-biter, with both teams trading points well into extra play. Ultimately, the Jackets edged out the Irish 28–26, thanks to clutch kills from outside hitter Lameen Mambu and middle blocker Bianca Garibaldi.
The Fighting Irish refused to go quietly, rallying in the third set behind standout outside hitter Morgan Gaerte, who tallied 23 kills on the night. Notre Dame capitalized on Georgia Tech errors to steal the set 26–24, keeping the match alive.
Georgia Tech seized control in the fourth set, powering to a dominant 25–13 win.
