Atlanta (April 10, 2024) – World champions Noah Lyles and Grant Holloway are set to return to the Adidas Atlanta City Games. This unique event takes track and field out of the usual stadium setting and into Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.
The City Games will feature top athletes, including those likely headed to the Olympics this summer. But it’s not just about the pros; the High School Invitational will shine a spotlight on the next generation of sprinters and hurdlers from Georgia.
Noah Lyles, fresh off an impressive 2023 season, will headline the men’s 150m. Grant Holloway, after a stellar indoor season, will lead the men’s 110m hurdles.
Anna Hall, known for her versatility, will make her second appearance at the City Games. She’ll compete in the 100m hurdles and long jump.
The action-packed day will kick off with the Adidas Atlanta City Games – Youth, where kids aged 9 to 14 can compete on the same track as the pros.
After the professional events, high school milers will take over at Midtown High School for the Midtown Miles. This series of races will feature the top male and female entrants in the Elite High School Mile.
This year, the high school events will replace the Wingfoot Night of Champions, but it’s expected to return next year.
Produced by the Atlanta Track Club and Global Athletics & Marketing, Inc., the Adidas Atlanta City Games will be broadcast live on the Adidas YouTube Channel and Noah Lyles’ YouTube Channel on Saturday, May 18.
