Colleges around the state combined to finish with a winning record in Week 4 of the 2017 college football season. Kennesaw State had a bye-week and West Georgia played interstate foe Albany State for Homecoming.  Mercer and Fort Valley each went into overtime with varying results. The state went 9-5 against competition outside the borders.  Berry, Reinhardt, and Georgia remain as the only unbeaten teams in the state. Savannah State, Shorter, and Georgia Southern will regroup and try to remove the goose egg from the win column. Georgia heads to Knoxville to play the Vols who are 1-0 against the state.  The Panthers of Georgia State get an unexpected bye as Memphis cancels in order to play the postponed game against UCF. Around The Peach State Week 3

Colleges around the state didn’t fare well in Week 3 of the 2017 college football season. Georgia Tech and Reinhardt had the week off due to inclement weather cancellations. The state went 4-8 against competition outside the borders.  On a bright note, congratulations are in order for LaGrange for winning its first game of the season. Eleven teams are home next weekend, including one interstate skirmish between Albany State and West Georgia.
